 Interview with the Light House Manager

It has been a while since we last we visited the Light House. Because there are no classes this afternoon, so we went excitedly to visit the Light House for a interview. The king and amiable manager and keepers welcomed us in person. The manager treated us some drinks and took us to visit their offices. After interviewing then, we went on an adventure in the mountains, which are forbidden areas. We did that just wated to interview the soldiers that guard the Light House and made our interview even more complete. The following are the interview with the Light House manager.

How many hours do you work everyday? Is this a difficult job? |
| Ans ： |
Just like any civil servant, we work eight hours a day. Though sometimesi feel exhausted, I am still glad to do this job and is filled with happiness. |

What do you usually do in your work? |
| Ans ： |
Everyone has different responsibilities. Except normal shifts, we have perform mechnical maintenance. We also have to navigate ships using light beams, recording and collecting wind speed, direction, and temperature. We also have to do administration job. |

How many people are supposed to work in the Light House? |
| Ans ： |
There were six people working in the earliest phase. But currently, there four people working here, including me. |

Do four of you stay in the dormitory?Aren't you afraid when you're alone? |
| Ans ： |
Though we stay in the dormitory, we have worked here for more than two decades. We don't feel afraid because we are familiar with the surroundings. Actually we feel lonely and isolated. But now except shift duties, we are allowed to go home now, which has improved than before. |

How many people have been acted as manage so far? |
| Ans ： |
During the early construction phase, the managers were all foreiners. In 1947, Mr.Chen Gao-Fu took over the manager. Later, there were Long Yu-Siang, Ruan Shuei-Lian, Wu Pu-Hwa, Chen Bao-Yin |

How many years has the Light House been bult? |
| Ans ： |
Dong-Yin Light House started its construction in Guang Xu 28, and was openedfor operation in May 18 Guang Xu 30. It was the first Light House to use incandescent bulb with screen shield. |
