How many Light House keepers are supposed to work here? Where do thesepeople come from?

There three keepers currently. All of them are local people.

Why do you want to work here?

I think it is fun and happy to work here.i think myself as the guardian of the Light House, an old friend of the Light House, so I also have a sense of achievement.

How many hours do you work every day? Is the job tiring?

Except our normal shift, we usually work eight hours a day, five days a week. Sometimes the job is very tiring, but I have worked like this for 20 years, so I am already get used to it.

What do you usually do in your job?

Actually everyone has his own duties. Most of them are to maintain the lighting of the Light House and machinery.

Do you stay in the dormitory?are yu scared when you are alone?

Now everyone goes home after work except shifts, so there is no question about being scared.

How long did it take to build the Light House? What were the features?

Because the inaccessibility of construction material, so it took about two years (started in Guang Xu 28 and finished in May 18 th , Guang Xu 30) to build the Light House.
The feature of the Light House was to stop using vegetable oil and started using kerosene. It was also the first Light House to use incandescent bulb across the coast. The light power of Light House was equivalent to 360 thousand lit candles.
